Crimson Chain Productions* is bringing you another great Independent Feature Film, Flanking the Sentinel, a historically based fictional tale.
Coming out of Maryland, a state torn apart by the American Civil War, the film takes an in-depth look into the lives of those affected by the war, confederate desertion, and how the social classes and perceptions of the times affected everyone.
Will, a private with the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia, has witnessed tens of thousands of Americans killed and wounded at Antietam, Chancellorsville, Fredericksburg, and now Gettysburg. As he buries his last remaining friends, he decides to return to Virginia with his wife and new child, who desperately need him; there is nothing left for him in the failing confederate army anymore. But on his way, he meets Thomas, a confederate officer who decides to join Will’s journey. Traveling through Maryland to return home, they must avoid both Union and Confederate patrols, as well as farmers and other locals that are loyal to the North – getting captured by either side is a guaranteed death sentence. With their lives on the line, it is a high-stakes gamble that they have no choice but to win.
